Abstract
There exist many different established approaches to detect system faults. This paper discusses the various system models and the associated fault detection techniques. Specifically, phenomenological models are presented in detail. Fault detection using principal components analysis and the cluster and classify method is illustrated with real operational data from an electrically powered vehicle.
