Abstract
Appropriately designed proportional TCP traffic controller can stabilize the network and overcome the oscillation problem that exists in most of other TCP traffic controllers, but pure proportional controllers have the shortcoming of steady state error of the queue size. In this paper, we presented an extended proportional controller that has a simpler implementation. Our simulation results have demonstrated that our controller can eliminate the steady state error while achieving the same performance as the PI controller.
