Abstract
This paper describes the role of wired infrastructure in the context of throughput of the wireless system, particularly when the access points are comparable to the nodes themselves. This paper also discusses how the transport capacity scales as a function of the number of nodes and access points and derives both lower and upper bounds to the transport capacity.
