  • Abstract
This paper introduces an approach to deal with the requirement analysis related challenges posed by the increasing demand of interoperability and joint system use. Taking reliability as the analysis measure, the study adopts the Scenario-Based Reliability Analysis (SBRA) technique used for component-based software applications to analyze the reliability of a mix-match of military components over a set of missions. Mission scenarios represented in the form of Sequence Diagrams (SDs) are transformed into their Petri Net equivalents and then combined under a High Level Petri model, which is run to collect statistics for constructing a Component Dependence Graph (CDG). Later, an algorithm is applied to the CDG to investigate the sensitivity of mission specific reliabilities to changes in the reliabilities of components, and communication links.
