  • Abstract
In today´s highly dynamic business environment the realization of high performance of a contemporary supply chain would not only ensure individual production entities with a needed operational efficiency, but also make the whole chain realize truly value adding and the promised synergy: high on-time delivery rates, short production lead-time, and cost-effective business operations. This article proposed a new framework in support of various levels coordination across enterprises by taking advantage of workflow automation and software agent technologies. Event-driven modeling and effective interactivity are proposed for the execution of coordinative tasks.
