Abstract
This paper presents a comparative study of the application of the eigenanalysis method in situations where the environment can be modeled as a circular cluster formed by the agglomeration of many scatters regularly distributed around the mobile station. The base station antenna array outside the circular cluster geographic area and the azimuthal arrival angles are considered random variables modeled respectively by Gaussian and uniform distributions for linear and circular array configurations. This type of channel model is frequently found in some urban areas, in WLL systems and indoor environments.
