Abstract :
The dependence of the threshold pump power on wavelength is investigated for a multiwavelength array of photonic crystal lasers. The temperature dependence of these lasers are also characterized. In this study photonic crystal lasers is investigated, while utilizing the ability to lithographically tune the photonic crystal laser cavity resonant frequency so as to investigate the dependence of the threshold pump power on the alignment between the gain peak and the cavity resonance. The effects of operating temperature on the operating wavelength and the threshold pump power are also investigated.
