Abstract
We demonstrate that the DGD monitoring range and sensitivity of PMD monitors is optical-spectrum-dependent in 10-and-40-Gbit/s CSRZ, ACRZ and RZ signals even when the pulse-widths are identical, and introduce a method to monitor PMD in CSRZ and ACRZ systems.
