Abstract :
The paper proposes the influence of small hydropower plants on electrical power network through reducing power losses and increasing network availability and reliability. One example with several small hydropower plants is elaborated. In this example, power losses, availability and reliability indexes are calculated and connection prices of small hydropower plants are quoted. Evaluation of losses because of interruption in supply of electrical power to customers (lost of power) are also calculated.
