  • Abstract
    We will discuss optical devices based on waveguide grating routers (also called PHASARs or AWGs) in silica, silicon, and indium-phosphide waveguides. Devices include multiplexers, channel-dropping filters, cross-connects, gain equalization filters, dispersion compensators, and tunable lasers.
