Abstract :
We report 10 Gb/s direct modulation of 1.3 μm-uncooled DFB. The lasers were optimized for 0 to 80°C operation. Output power of 35 mW is reported at 25°C for 100 mA. 8 GHz bandwidth was measured for entire temperature range.
