  • Abstract
    A 0.5 Vpp-drive small-chirp 40 Gbit/s electroabsorption modulator module with hybrid-integrated driver IC is proposed. This module can be directly driven by the 40 Gbit/s multiplexer output. Power penalty of less than 0.5 dB over 2 km transmission is demonstrated.
