  • Abstract
This paper proposes the multi-step equivalent circuit approach as an effective solution for low frequency EMC problems arising in car industry. We first solve the 3D quasi-static problem and extract the capacitance and inductance coefficient matrices. Then, the equivalent circuit is generated. Lastly, we perform AC analysis in the low frequency range to determine the coupled voltages and currents with the sufficient accuracy. The proposed approach is much faster compared with direct MoM calculations, and can be used in time as well as in the frequency domain. This approach also gives a link to circuit simulation programs for modeling of complex, nonlinear terminating devices.
