Abstract :
The algorithm of the calculation of input impedance of an antenna array microstrip radiator is based on a double solution of scattering problem of the monochromatic plane wave by a periodic antenna array of the printed radiators. The result of these problems solution is the surface densities, as magnetic current on the aperture of an antenna array, lice from the microstrip elements, and electrical current on printed radiators. The development of microstrip radiator equivalent circuit (Thevenin´s circuit) is necessary in the procedure of input impedance calculation of an antenna array printed radiator. The magnetic current in the aperture of an antenna array, where each microstrip element has a gap in a place of supposed connection of a lumped voltage source, is determined in the first case. The result of the first problem solution is the calculation of an open-circuit voltage. The electrical current on the microstrip element of an antenna array, where places of supposed the feeder connection have been /spl Lt/metallized/spl Gt/, is searched in the second case. The result of the second problem solution is the calculation of a short-circuit current. From the open-circuit voltage and the short-circuit current, the Thevenin circuit impedance of the microstrip radiator of an antenna array can be calculated.
