Abstract :
Referring to the concepts and ideas of qualitative reasoning, a tentative modeling method to traffic flow characteristics is proposed in this paper. Based on the definitions such as qualitative states and qualitative relationships of traffic parameters, an actual traffic system: Beijing Third-cycle-road (BTCR), is taken as an example to illustrate the process of modeling, In particular, the wavelet analysis is employed to determine the landmarks of traffic parameters.
