Abstract
A resonance-type power supply generally derives low switching loss and low noise operation. On the other hand, it has a drawback of the increase in power dissipation of transformer windings due to the resonant current. To reduce the power loss in the transformer windings, we have developed a novel transformer winding structure and have applied this technique to a push-pull edge-resonant converter. The efficiency improvement of the converter has been confirmed experimentally.
