Abstract :
A channel estimation technique which allows the support of higher terminal velocities in OFDM based WLANs (HIPERLAN/2, IEEE 802.11a) is presented. After an initial channel estimation based on the preamble, the channel impulse response is tracked by means of detected and remodulated data symbols. A good performance is obtained in both line-of-sight (LOS) and nonline-of-sight (nLOS) environments with a reasonable receiver complexity.
