Abstract :
This paper focuses on short-term performance analysis of turbo decoding in power-controlled fading channel, as is the case in cdma2000 reverse link. Before employing the log-normal distribution approximation on the SNRs in the power control groups (PCGs), we study the short-term distribution in the closed-loop power control system and verify the approximation in the short-term sense. Then we study the short-term frame error rate (FER) performance under this approximation and give some comments on the effect of the parameters of fading.
