Abstract :
This paper addresses the problem of control design for a DC-DC Buck converter with a switched load by means of state feedback. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a stabilizing control law are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities, guaranteeing: i) a specific pole location to the closed-loop system, when the load switches slowly enough to permit the accommodation of the system modes; ii) the rejection of energy bounded perturbations by means of an H∞ design. In any case, the control law assures the overall closed-loop system stability. Simulation results illustrate the method proposed.
