Abstract
We emphasize the generation of an augmented reality environment of a single dancer based on analysis of dance annotations. We introduce a new Web3D-based interactive technique for dance animation needed for educational purposes. This approach offers new possibilities for interactive dance step observation, slow movements of fast steps, different angles of view and several functions as a support of high interactivity between the user and the 3D dancer. The benefits of the approach have been estimated by dance experts from the Macedonian Folklore Institute, and the "Mirche Acev" folk ensemble.
