Abstract
A wireless network supporting integrated data transfer is an attractive issue; therefore, a call admission control algorithm and a resource reservation scheme are usually provided for predictable QoS to such applications. However, too much reserved capacity in the system increases the blocking probability as well as dropping probability. Therefore, we propose several resource-borrowing schemes to improve the system performance. Simulation results show that our proposed resource-borrowing schemes really improve the system performance in a multimedia CDMA cellular system.
