  • Abstract
In this paper, three kinds of cooling methods was introduced. A new concept of evaluating a kind of cooling method is put forward here. That is reliability, maintenance and economic performance from the point of view of the whole generator set. Then the development procedure of the evaporative cooling technique applied to the hydrogenerator was presented. At the same time, the basic research of this technique was introduced. Finally, the matching between inner cooling of stator´s bars and air cooling of the stator core and rotor should be further concerned from the optimal design of the whole unit.
