Abstract :
The flux leakage coefficient of permanent magnet synchronous motors consists of inner pole flux leakage factor and axial flux leakage factor. The accuracy of the flux leakage factors mentioned above is a key problem for design of the PM motor. The flux leakage coefficients of 5 middle capacity (4 pole 220-300 kW) line start permanent magnet synchronous motors (LS-PMSM) with U-shaped magnets rotor were calculated by finite element method, and the results are agreement with experimental of the prototypes. The flux leakage coefficient data table is given in the paper.
