Abstract :
Available maximum horsepower of stepping motors is discussed. A simple presentation of the available maximum horsepower of stepping motors is given through calculating inductance based on nonlinear magnetic network model and testing verification. The conclusion comes out that the available maximum horsepower is mainly determined by the derived motor parameter, and the voltage cross the power (V/sub DC/) of the designated driver, which is valuable to the proper selection of stepping units.
