  • Abstract
Induction motor (IM) is widely used in electric vehicles, for its simple construction, robustness and very good control performance. This paper describes digital vector control system of IM based on DSP and CAN Bus. A DSP is used to realize the functions as driving and generating (especially, regeneration) function, SVPWM production, signal receiving and their processing function. All commands are transmitted to the DSP core via CAN bus, such as torque command. In the end, an IM of 20 kW driven by the system based on DSP and CAN will be used as an example. Flow chart and sample code of CAN communication will be presented.
