  • Abstract
    A primary numerical simulation study on MHD maritime oil-spill recovery system is presented in this paper. Distribution of electromagnetic and fluid fields, as well as effect of the electromagnetic field on the fluid field is analyzed. A test facility is established in order to demonstrate the MHD oil-spill recovery system, and some primary tests are carried out. The agreement between experimental values and simulation results is satisfied when the current density are 1000 A/m/sup 2/ and 1535 A/m/sup 2/ respectively.
