Abstract :
The electromagnetic behaviors of SMES (Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage) magnets, the eddy current distributions and the eddy current losses generated in the conducting parts driven by the time-varying currents, during charging (discharging) to (from) the coil, have been modeled through test models. Some valuable results concerned in electromagnetic design are presented.
