Abstract :
Ethernet over passive optical network (EPON) has emerged as a promising broadband access method It aims to cost-effectively deliver Ethernet frames at 1.25 Gb/s in both directions over various passive optical network topologies. Key technologies will be discussed together with alternative access techniques.
