Abstract
The placement algorithm based on Less Flexibility First (LFF) principles is a deterministic algorithm through human´s accumulated experience. Experiment results demonstrate that the algorithm is effective and promising in building block layout application. In this paper. we extended LFF principles to handle arbitrary rectilinear blocks and blocks with relative constraints. The experiment results are demonstrated by some benchmark and the performance shows efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed method.
