Abstract
We present an overview of work done on simulations of cardiac excitation and propagation with models of single cells as well as models of 1 or 2 dimensional propagation. The overview attempts to present several general principles which have been established by the correlation of these simulations studies with experimental work on cardiac excitation and propagation.
