Abstract
The central station monitoring system allows the medical and paramedical personal to observe the waveforms and to respond to the patient alarms in the intensives cares units. The capabilities of the central station system are very important; however the central station can´t create the necessary raw data; which is supplied by the bedside units. That´s why is very important the relationship that bedside monitors establish with the central station. In this work it is described how the communication settles down among the bedside monitor and the central station, developed starting from the acquisition of data in real time, using the multithreads programming.
