Abstract :
In this paper, a two-channel electrical stimulator for electrotherapy, developed by the authors, is reviewed. The group of stimulation protocols available, the block diagram based on the electrical design and the principal tasks accomplished by the firmware are presented and discussed. The results of technical tests performed on several prototypes are also included and discussed. Including 26 stimulation programs, with programmable or fixed parameters, the stimulator is useful for rehabilitation and pain-managing applications in any health system.
