Abstract :
The present paper reports the current stage in the development of an electric impedance tomography (EIT) prototype designed to supply static images and that is based on the multiterminal approach of obtaining the basic experimental conductivity matrix. The prototype uses an adaptation of the backprojection method for the tomographic image reconstruction from the basic conductivity matrix and also some 2D filters (median and Laplacian filters) that can be used to enhance the EIT images, if desired. Results in the saline solution and also in vivo frameworks will be presented.
