Abstract
In this work we present a computer model that predicts the effect of film processing on optical density formation. This model has been developed by introducing parameters that represent the effect of the conditions of film processing in optical density´s equation, which had been established as a function of the exposure technique and physical characteristics of radiological imaging system. These parameters have been determined from experimental measures. The results showed a good agreement between the optical densities measured and simulated for several conditions of film processing.
