Abstract
Piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic motor (USM) is known to be with time-varying and highly nonlinear characteristics. Also it has saturation in the input voltage. In this study, a new antiwindup controller is proposed to control a piezoelectric ceramic linear ultrasonic motor (LUSM) drive system to reduce the influence of nonlinear saturation of the input constraint. First, this study gives theoretical approach design method. Then it provides hardware experimental results to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. It will be shown that the experimental results coincide with what expected.
