Abstract
The electromagnetic field distributions calculated and obtained in the experiments on biological tissues are analyzed. A close agreement between calculated and experimental data is observed. It is shown that in the direction normal to the slot irradiator the electric filed spreads far beyond the slot and in the direction along the slot the field is concentrated near the center of the slot and does not spread beyond the boundaries of the slot.
