Abstract
Summary form only given. I present direct radiometric observations of aerosol radiative forcing taken from the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown in the Sea of Japan during the ACE-Asia experiment (2001) and discuss climate effects of long range dust transport towards the eastern Pacific. I discuss both infrared and solar forcing at the surface and top of the atmosphere due to dust.
