Abstract :
A capacity optimized space-time processing is proposed for CDMA multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems. The proposed system turns a MIMO frequency selective channel into a set of parallel multiplexing subchannels in the space and time domains. Numerical results show that the proposed CDMA MIMO antenna systems further increase the number of subchannels by exploiting the frequency selectivity of the channel, which leads to a significant increase in both the average capacity and the outage capacity.
