Abstract :
A multi-carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC/DS-CDMA) signal is usually demodulated in parallel by several independent single-carrier receivers, each consisting of a complete set of algorithmic functions and tuned to its respective sub-carrier frequency. We study a channel estimation scheme that exploits the fact that the pilot signals transmitted for channel estimation in the multiple carriers form a composite pilot signal with wider bandwidth and higher power and can therefore be used to improve the overall receiver performance.
