Abstract
It is very difficult to control a complex system of strong cross-correlation MIMO effectively. For example, a large-scale steel rolling furnace is a typical strong cross-correlation complex system, there is obvious coupling among several heating stages and strong disturbance from inside and outside. Therefore, it is difficult to ensure that temperature in several heating stages meets the demand of techniques, and leads to a low rate of finished product, even an accident resulting in furnace destruction occurs sometimes. Aimed at the above control puzzles, authors apply the intelligent decoupling approach to control this kind of system. The authors study decoupling control characteristics, an algorithm in engineering control, and use simulation and an engineering instance to verify the validity of the intelligent decoupling control. The practice shows that it is worthy to apply intelligent decoupling to control complex system of strong cross-correlation in engineering.
