Abstract :
A prototype mini-TWT for an active primary array-feeder of a reflector antenna for 21-GHz-band broadcasting satellites was manufactured. The cross-sectional dimensions were 15.3 mm×20.0 mm, which can produce a two-dimensional array interval of 1.5 wavelengths at 22.0 GHz when the TWTs make up an amplifier array. An output power of 11.5 W was obtained with an overall efficiency of 50.6%.
