Abstract
This paper proposes an adaptive MC-CDMA radio resource allocation for mobile packet services in the forward link of a geo-stationary satellite communication system. The multibeam satellite system using the proposed allocation method shows double capacity compared with the conventional multibeam satellite system. The high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) problem must be solved in order to use the MC-CDMA scheme in the satellite system. We propose algorithms to reduce PAPR, and the proposed PAPR reduction schemes show improved performance even with reduced complexity compared to conventional schemes.
