Abstract :
This paper presents a review on the conventional technique for the generation of high power electromagnetic pulse, its practical application in electronic combat to inhibit the function of industrial infrastructure as well as to destroy strategic and tactical information system of opponent. Kill probability for a given class of target and science of protection mechanism against high-energy pulses before it can result into irreversible damage has been discussed.
