Abstract :
The paper deals with the measurements of static charge accumulated on PUF/PIR materials used as thermal cover for launch vehicle. The measurements are carried out to get an idea of possible maximum charge accumulation due to friction on these materials. The hazard aspects of accumulated charge before and after lift off of the vehicle are discussed.
