Abstract
The repeatability and accuracy of EMI measurements are two of the important criteria. A large number of sophisticated test and measurement instruments along with their accessories are being used in both time and frequency domains measurements. The calibration requirement of these instruments is enormous. The EMC test facilities are accredited by national and international bodies, they always ask for the calibration records of the test instruments. In this paper the calibration requirements for various types of test instruments are analyzed. It was found that the calibration of some of the basic instruments might meet the full calibration need of the instruments used in different procedures.
