Abstract :
In this article, we present serial concatenated single differential space-time block coding (SDST), with channel estimation based on soft decision feedback. Two schemes with soft decision feedback extracted from different positions of the serial structure, such as the output of inner decoder and outer decoder, are proposed and thoroughly studied. Improved system performance is demonstrated and compared via simulations. Our theoretical analysis and simulation results lead to the conclusion that different allocation of the same error correcting potential gives rise to different system performance and speed of convergence.
