  • Abstract
Nowadays there are growing interests in computer-human interaction systems that allow users to interact or to operate virtual 3D objects. In these devices, it is important to develop shape recognition devices for producing or manipulating virtual 3D objects. We have developed shape recognition device using piezoelectric thin films. To sense the deformation of piezoelectric films, we developed a simple charge measuring method for piezo films. Our method improves the stability in the output voltage of the charge amplifier. Also, the method can reduce the number of charge amplifiers. The 3D curve input system was developed by using piezo films and the proposed charge measuring method, which allows us to operate the curved line intuitively.
