Abstract
The paper shows that a mode similar to the TM01 in circular geometries can be also excited in noncircular patches, short circuited in the center; the rectangular geometry has been chosen for it. Most of the interesting characteristics and excellent behaviour of the TM01 short circuited ring, mainly useful for mobile user terminals, have been also found in the proposed geometry.
