MPEG4 IPMP authoring system for protection of object based contents

MPEG-4 technology is easy to edit objects of still image, text, 2D/3D graphics, audio, various shapes such as arbitrary shaped video to author and offer action on time and space to these objects through MPEG-4 technology. So, this object base coding way is considered by the most useful method to create interactive broadcasting contents. But, when we consider in generation of contents, transmission, and consumption viewpoint, we need protection and management about contents provider or author. Specially, MPEG is formalizing MPEG-4 based IPMP and is systematizing the scheme of protection and management about MPEG-4 contents and its copyright. In this paper, we propose MPEG-4 IPMP Authoring Tool that MPEG-4 contents?? author can create protected MPEG-4 contents and the copyright as easy and convenient according to MPEG-4 IPMP standard. Proposed this authoring system offers intimate interface to author and creates IPMPed XMT (eXtensible Mpeg-4 Textual format) file that is consisted of text format so that edit and correction of contents may be convenient. Also, this can create IPMPed MP4 file that is consisted of binary format for efficiency in contents transmission and storage.
