Abstract :
It is possible to atomize the liquid using surface acoustic wave (SAW) device. In this paper, we describe a novel atomization method based on SAW streaming. Stable generation and direction control of the mist are experimentally examined. We realize to continuously generate the mist by placing a filter paper, which retain a liquid on the SAW propagation surface. Also we demonstrate a mist direction control with an electrostatic field. Furthermore, practical atomization system is designed and performed.
